Letter to the editor: Was Musk right about Trump and Epstein? Brunswick Beacon

ree

A Florida judge called Jeffrey Epstein “the most infamous pedophile in American history.” Over the July 4th weekend, Trump’s Justice Department dumped an unsigned memo claiming it has no evidence that Epstein kept a “client list,” blackmailed public figures, or was murdered. Two-thirds of Americans polled smelled a government cover-up. After all, when Trump’s Attorney General Pam Bondi was asked in February about the “list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients,” she replied, “It’s sitting on my desk right now.”

Trump himself fueled reports that Epstein provided minors to famous people. After Epstein died in custody awaiting trial for sex-trafficking minors on his private island, Trump retweeted a post saying Epstein “had information on Bill Clinton and now he’s dead.” Trump told the Conservative Political Action Conference that Clinton had “a lot of problems coming up with the famous island with Jeffrey Epstein.” Asked “what problems,” Trump replied, “I don’t know, but that island was really a cesspool, just ask Prince Andrew, he’ll tell you about it, The island was an absolute cesspool.”

Trump would know. Epstein said, “I was Donald’s closest friend for 10 years.” Trump said, “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It’s even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”

Trump desperately wants to divert attention from his “fun” friend Epstein. On July 15 he wrote, “I don’t understand why the Epstein case would interest anybody. It’s sordid, but it’s boring.” The next day, Trump exploded at “stupid, foolish Republicans” for demanding answers. He called them “weaklings” and exclaimed, “I don’t want their support anymore!” He might have lost it already.

Elon Musk says, “Trump is in the Epstein files. That’s the real reason they haven’t been made public.” There’s only one way to know. “Let all the poisons that lurk in the mud hatch out.”
