With 18 Americans dead, 624 wounded and gas over $4 a gallon, CBS News polls found 69% of Americans think Trump’s Iran War wasn’t worth it. Even more — 92% — want Trump to end it ASAP. Trump wishes he could: CNN cataloged 38 times Trump has declared the war over.
The Iran War Cost Tracker says Trump has spent $113 billion on his war of choice. He’s burning through America’s munitions — inside sources say “virtually all” of two critical surface-to-surface weapons have been used up.
So, Trump has shifted to a more cost-effective approach and mobilized his rhetorical big guns. Rather than waste multi-million-dollar smart weapons collapsing Iranian caves, Trump is deploying F-bombs instead.
Trump previewed his strategy on Easter Sunday, posting: “Open the [expletive] Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell.” Regrettably, some American media keep Trump’s F-bombs from achieving their intended result. That one was likely sanitized as “expletive.”
On July 24, The Wall Street Journal unhelpfully whitewashed Trump’s remarks, reporting only that Trump was overheard “unleashing a series of expletives” inside the Oval Office, while calling Iran’s leadership “scumbags” and “lunatics.” They printed Trump’s insults, but how can America win the war if our media keeps sparing Iran the full fury of Trump’s fiery, ferocious F-bombs?
On July 29, Trump said, “We are going to beat the [expletive] [expletive] out of them.” Where are Trump’s double-barreled obscenities when America really needs them?
Jesus, Gandhi and MLK Jr. didn’t use F-bombs to promote peace. Critics say Trump’s reliance on them betrays failure, desperation and mental instability. Still, given his success bullying Republicans into submission, who’s to say he can’t F-bomb Iran into surrender?
Stop censoring Trump! Instead of sanitizing his F-bombs, the media should print every vulgar, disgusting, obscene, scatological outburst verbatim — IN ALL CAPS — like Trump does. It’s the patriotic thing to do.
All we are saying . . . is give sleaze a chance.
