Letter to the editor: Trump golfs while world burns

Drip ... drip ... drip ... Trump has been stripping away our rights since his first term, but with the backing of the Heritage Foundation’s more ruthlessly updated “Project 2026,” this blueprint is “designed to rebuild a country where women, LGBTQ and anyone outside their ‘ideal family’ have fewer rights, under the guise of ‘protecting the unborn.’” (If that was true, they wouldn’t have wrestled school lunches, SNAP and ACA credits from children and their families so they could pass those funds onto starving billionaires.)

This administration has bulldozed the Dept. of Education, FEMA, EPA and grossly over-funded Trump’s private militia (ICE). If any of us still naively think they’re not coming after Social Security and Medicare, I don’t know what to say.

Trump has bumbled his way into placing our troops in harm’s way declaring an unprovoked war to distract from the EPSTEIN FILES, now states “We’ve won”... “We’ve totally decimated it but we may hit it a few more times just for fun.”

That’s beyond chilling — a child playing a video game, NOT a president. That’s what we’re dealing with. He is in such cognitive decline he can’t tell the difference between reality and the gaming world. Check out the memes he keeps posting on his Truth Social site. Imagine if another US President owned a social media site, hawked his own crypto coins and a glut of merch to citizens — grifts so voluminous they’d never fit in this letter.

Add to that, he feels cornered because the Epstein Files aren’t going away and investigations are finally beginning after months of pushback from Trump and his minions. He is terrified of the “secrets” that are being unearthed. So we have a terrified child with severe cognitive issues ordering shoot-’em-ups in the Caribbean and Iran without Congressional approval, who holds the nuclear codes.

Wake up America! They’ve declared a war on “woke” because they want you asleep!
