“The Emperor’s New Clothes” concerns a vain ruler who buys a suit supposedly made from a miraculous cloth invisible to incompetent, stupid people. “Wonderful!” the emperor thinks. “I can discover which advisers are unfit and fire them!” Given the imaginary “suit,” he pretends he sees it, as do his advisers, not wanting to appear stupid. Finally, a child blurts out the truth: “The Emperor has no clothes!” The emperor is humiliated — he’s been walking around naked!
Trump’s advisers embarrass themselves, pretending he’s competent. Republicans praised his imaginary “leadership” after Texas floods left 137 dead. Meanwhile, FEMA’s head of Urban Search and Rescue resigned because Trump’s attempt to kill FEMA delayed rescue efforts that would have saved lives.
Trump claims “America is respected again.” Another lie. A Pew poll shows that, since Trump’s inauguration, America is less respected by nearly every country surveyed including Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, South Korea and every European nation. For the first time, China is more respected worldwide than America.
Kowtowing to Putin backfired. Trump alienated NATO allies and convinced Russia he’s weak. Putin ignored Trump’s frantic “ultimatum” demanding a ceasefire in Ukraine. Putin’s spokesman mocked Trump’s outburst as “emotional overload.” Trump finally conceded that Putin conned him with “meaningless BS.” Humiliated, Trump admitted that Putin “doesn’t want to stop the war, he’s just tapping me along.”
Trump’s recent golf junket caused Scottish newspaper “The National” to run this entirely factual headline: “Convicted U.S. felon to arrive in Scotland. Republican leader, who was found liable for sexual abuse and defamation, will visit golf courses.” That’s the naked truth.
Trump’s “180” on releasing pedo-pal Jeffrey Epstein’s client list convinced 67% of Americans he’s hiding something. Joe Rogan accused him of “trying to gaslight” us, adding, “the same people pulling the strings are still pulling the strings.” White supremacist Nick Fuentes advised the president. “You’re fat, you’re a joke, you’re stupid. Liberals were right. MAGA supporters were had.”
If the suit fits, Donald, wear it.
