I’m almost at a loss for words, but not quite. I’m so very frightened about the direction that this country is going in. Most important to me is that the Constitution and our rights are threatened.
Wait a minute, not all rights are threatened. Gun rights are not being threatened. Military assault-type weapons are legal and we don’t have comprehensive gun laws. There is something wrong with this picture. I don’t want guns taken away from people, I just want common sense laws and no military-style weapons. They should only be legal for the military.
Recently, a man was killed by a 22-year-old and the President blamed all Democrats. One person had a gun. One person pulled the trigger. He was not a Democrat; he was raised a conservative. What about all the other political victims? What about the dead/wounded innocent children/ adults? I don’t condone violence in any form.
We are being pitted against each other to cause chaos and more division. This madness has to stop. In the meantime, I will speak up, be seen and work hard for our voting rights to stay intact.
I believe voting is the only way to make a change. Democrats, Republicans and Independents who are not happy with the direction we are going, please make sure you vote in the 2026 election.
Let’s make a change. We need to work together, not against each other.
