At the Conservative Political Action Conference, Elon Musk brandished a chainsaw and screamed, “This is the chainsaw for bureaucracy!” Musk often uses violent language to describe what he does to federal workers.
President Kennedy created the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Its 10,235 workers fight starvation and diseases like Ebola overseas instead of here, earning America goodwill and making us safer. Last month, Musk wrote, “We spent the weekend feeding USAID into the wood chipper.” Musk’s indiscriminate destruction harms America, as China gains influence by replacing us.
Harming America is Musk’s pattern. Musk fired 350 National Nuclear Security Administration workers before realizing they oversee America’s nuclear stockpile. He tried to rehire some, but couldn’t reach them because he’d terminated their federal email accounts.
Eggs cost $7.86/dozen, an all-time high, because of bird flu. Musk fired the inspectors who are the “boots on the ground” combatting bird flu. Now, he’s scrambling to rehire them, too.
We’ve had four major plane crashes with 85 deaths since Trump took office. Musk senselessly fired hundreds of FAA workers that keep planes and passengers safe. One worker said, “Without our team, pilots would quite literally be flying blind.”
Musk fired 1,000 Veterans Affairs workers, including staff at the Veterans Crisis Line, a 24/7 resource combatting veterans’ suicide.
One terminated disabled veteran said, “I voted for Trump. But this is not what I expected. We didn’t think they were going to take a chainsaw to a silk rug.”
Musk just revved his chainsaw to 11, ordering every federal employee to tell him what they accomplished last week: “Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.” Musk’s admitted goal is to “delete entire agencies.”
Musk profits from the power Trump gave him. He fired National Highway Traffic Safety Administration workers investigating Tesla and Food and Drug Administration workers investigating Neuralink, Musk’s brain implant company. Musk’s chainsaw massacre is America’s nightmare, but Musk’s dream come true.
