Brunswick County Democratic Party kick-off celebration: A rousing success!

The Brunswick County Democratic Party's January 8th Kick-Off Celebration at BCDP Headquarters was a standing room-only event featuring several of our stellar 2026 candidates. Close to 200 enthusiastic supporters were in attendance to hear from candidates and enjoy camaraderie, a protest video, a pizza party, music, and more!

Special guests included our keynote speaker and candidate for U.S. Congress, Dr. Kimberly Hardy, Dennis Breen for NC House (District 17), Scott Nasiff for NC House (District 19), Brian Rupp and Sue Duncan for School Board, and Sara Singer for County Commissioner. Rick Combes for NC Senate and Gary Woods for County Commissioner were unable to attend, but you will be seeing them soon! Tina Bowen, founder of the Suds of Love Truck and one of our Community Heroes, was a featured guest speaker as well. Tina spoke about her non-profit's mission to provide dignity through hygiene, and our members donated laundry and personal care products in support of Suds of Love's efforts.
