BCDP members establish a Brunswick County chapter of the NC Democratic Party's African American Caucus

Several recent interest meetings at BCDP headquarters about the North Carolina Democratic Party's African American Caucus (AAC) have resulted in the formation of a Brunswick County Chapter of the AAC! Carlette Grissett, AAC–NCDP 7th Congressional District Representative, facilitated the process. 

We congratulate those elected to serve on the new chapter’s Executive Board:

President: Susan Waleed

1st Vice President: Bernest Hewett

2nd Vice President: Joe Bryant

Secretary: Tim Randall

Treasurer: Bob Trotter

Parliamentarian: Debra McKoy

As Ms. Grissett stated, “[their] leadership and commitment will be crucial as we work together to strengthen African American voices and engagement throughout Brunswick County.”
