BCDP Thanksgiving Food Drive yields almost two tons of donations!

Wow, Wow, Wow! We asked people to donate to our Thanksgiving Food Drive, and the response was overwhelming — in the best possible way. THANK YOU to everyone who donated and to everyone who helped sort and deliver the thousands of contributions we received. 

We collected a total of 3,887 pounds of food and related items at our HQ on Sunday and Monday -- almost TWO TONS! After learning of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church’s food pantry in Sunset Beach, part of an association of 10 churches serving multiple communities throughout Brunswick County, we decided to help them fill their shelves for Thanksgiving too! All donations were delivered to both Brunswick Family Assistance and the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church Food Pantry on Monday afternoon.

Way to go, Brunswick County Democrats and supporters, for so generously lending a hand to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
