On Wednesday, April 6, the Brunswick County Democratic Party hosted an event at headquarters to show support for the people of Ukraine in their time of peril. A large Ukrainian flag was installed on the side of our building facing the street as a small but visible demonstration of support.
Approximately 50 people were in attendance. Guest speakers included U.S. Navy Veteran and BCDP 3rd Vice Chair, Michael Rush, and Leland Town Councilman Bill McHugh. BCDP acknowledged the 14 veterans and 6 Democratic candidates who were present as well. Visit our Facebook Page for more photos.
Guests were encouraged to send donations to the Ukrainian people by selecting from a list of certified charities provided by BCDP. Visit here for the list of charities.
