About The Event
The Democratic Women of North Carolina invites all Democratic Women across the state to join us for our 58th Annual State Convention, September 7-9, 2018, in Wilmington, North Carolina at the Hotel Ballast, formerly known as the Hilton Wilmington Riverside.
This year’s theme, “Catch the Blue Wave”, is most appropriate because a wave is the transfer of energy and Democratic Women are the energy of the Party. We boldly fight for equal rights, equal pay for equal work, voting rights, inclusion and diversity and the list goes on and on. We demand justice for all!
Julia Buckner, our incoming President, will be sworn in along with new officers that will be elected at this Convention. On Saturday during the luncheon, all DWNC Past Presidents will be recognized and honored. On Saturday evening, we will be honoring our STARS and announcing the 2018 Democratic Woman of the Year.
