Welcome to the Brunswick County Democratic Party website.  I am Chairman Leonard Jenkins.

 Activities on the horizon include annual precinct meetings in March, our county convention in April and our district convention in May. Our annual fund raiser starts in February.

 Cal Cunningham's Recent Activities

 

Former U.S. Senate candidate Cal Cunningham will provide the keynote address at the 2013 Seventh Congressional District Democratic Party Convention.

 

After the 2010 Senate campaign, Cal was deployed to Afghanistan with a Army Special Operations Task Force from Fort Bragg. During 2008, he served as a military prosecutor at the Multi-National Corps-Iraq where he coordinated efforts to hold contractors accountable for serious crimes and fraud. For his military service, Cal has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the General Douglas McArthur Award for Leadership. 

 

In the 2012 presidential election he chaired Veteran's for Obama.

 

In 2000 he was elected one of North Carolina's youngest state Senators.
